Elita Papademas is a Managing Associate at Hadjianastassiou, Ioannides LLC, bringing extensive expertise in Corporate Law and Mergers & Acquisitions. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Reading, an LL.M. from the London School of Economics, and a Professional Qualification (PQE) from the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.

Elita’s practice focuses on advising clients through complex corporate transformations, including restructurings, mergers, demergers, divisions, company migrations, and the establishment of legal entities and joint ventures. She has a strong focus on corporate governance, with particular experience in drafting comprehensive governance frameworks designed to optimize decision-making processes and enhance shareholder relations through well-structured constitutional documents and shareholders’ agreements.

She is also frequently engaged in high-value private and public company transactions, where she conducts in-depth legal due diligence to identify material risks and drafts strategic transaction documents that protect client interests while aligning with their commercial goals.​

  • Advised on all aspects of a complex demerger between Cypriot holding companies and separating the multi-million financial activities of the demerging companies.
  • Assisted with the multi-million reorganisation of the assets and liabilities of a real estate company by way of division.
  • Assisted a major private equity fund on the multi-million acquisition of two of the largest hospitals in Cyprus and the acquisition of a diagnostic centre.
  • Assisted with the multimillion acquisition of a stake in the company that operates one of the largest private universities in Cyprus and their subsequent joint venture for the establishment of a medical school in Greece.
